Why are there so many "Should Gay's Marry" ads?

recently i've noticed that about 90% of the large ads are asking the question: "should gays marry?".

any particular reason?

Its all part of my master plan to jump in on the ground floor of being a gay divorce specialist. I can't wait for gays to get married, a huge vast untapped sea of potential clients locked in custody battles, fighting over the benz, fighting over the artwork. Imagine lesbian couples fighting over the Prada handbags, gay men fighting over the Prada handbags, the possibilities boggle the mind.
Gays have no idea what they are letting themselves in for.
But the devil's advocate is here waiting for them.

How similar would racism/sexism vs. religious discrimination be?

i've been reading up on recent rulings of human rights violations in nova scotia, and the awards that have been given to victims in the last few years.

something that i've noticed is that the two common violations are always matters of race, or sex.

nowhere did i see someone who was the victim of religious discrimination (except a minister who wasn't permitted to use a town facility for preaching, btw he was awarded $6,000).

Its like my Kennedy moment, I can remember it clear as day, I was sitting in my high school drafting class and the teacher would let us play the radio while we worked and I remember it coming on the radio that John had been shot and killed and the radio playing his and Beatles music non-stop for days.

is this appropriate in jw world?

Riverrat, welcome to the forum. Like Gretchen I have been out a long time but I wouldn't think that is too typical of JW's, I'm sure he takes some heat for it but probably thinks, hey I was a soldier before I was a JW so screw em.

Christianity will go. It will vanish and shrink. I needn't argue with that; I'm right and I will be proved right. We're more popular than Jesus now; I don't know which will go first - rock and roll or Christianity.

God is a concept by which we measure our pain.

Guilt for being rich, and guilt thinking that perhaps love and peace isn't enough and you have to go and get shot or something.

I believe in everything until it's disproved. So I believe in fairies, the myths, dragons. It all exists, even if it's in your mind. Who's to say that dreams and nightmares aren't as real as the here and now?

You're just left with yourself all the time, whatever you do anyway. You've got to get down to your own God in your own temple. It's all down to you, mate.
